Daily Diary
October 2nd
Dear Diary,
In Never Go Back by Tom Cruise, Jack Reacher goes back — that is an irony. I always wonder what I’ll do if I had the possibility to do evil. Will I think twice or just act? The average human doesn’t know it but he’ll definitely choose to do evil. Human nature is basically evil and maybe that’s why some Christians prefer to baptise their children at birth. Most of those who haven’t done evil just haven’t had the possibility to do it and go scot free. But what exactly is evil even?
Today, I spent my time reading a book recommended by Fanny — The Famished Road by Ben Okri. In all of these, I remember how much I used to be in love with books. And how much I always look forward to reading the next book. Last month, I finished reading The Third Secret by Marco De Sio and it’s a story that spans through many generations. The last time I read a book like that, it was As the Crow Flies by Jeffrey Archer. So read books — that’s the morale of my story.
CHRONICLE 2
The new clothes didn’t fit
The new air suffocated my lungs
Instead of breathing, I was dying.
What should I have done differently?
When I cross the bar,
Write my sins and print
Read them at my funeral
Let my eulogies be about my guilts
Not you trying to sugarcoat
The fact that I wasn’t a good person
I am dead anyway — that’s all that matters.
Dear Diary, keep my thoughts as secret as news can be…
