Daily Diary
August 9th, 10th & 11th
Dear Diary,
One of the little things I do on a daily basis that I consider grand is saying “thank you” to service providers — shopkeepers, bike riders and others. I find their jobs to be very noble and of great service. Like they say, there is no greater religion than human service. And I want to be able to help people like that — not with a grumbling mouth, but with a happy face.
August has come with its rains and it’s cold and its temptations. How do single people cope with being single? Some say that they frolic with other single people or with those in relationships. Is cheating inevitable?
It has always been held that men are promiscuous by nature and all the bla bla bla. But women cheat too, right? And recent findings have it that women cheat more than men even. But is it possible for people to not cheat? One man elaborated on it clearly on Twitter and the main message I got from his little exposé was that sin thrives in secrecy. No good thing is done in secret. Once you decide to hide things, the devil sets in and he becomes the captain of the ship.
I have also discovered that setting a goal and not meeting it is not the end of the world. The only thing that should haunt you is the thought of abandoning. Like I often say, I am falling in love with the destination and not the journey — in this journey, I have started projects and failed and even left them halfway. In this journey, I set daily goals and still skipped days — it doesn’t mean I will give up or that I gave up. So in all this, I know that I can start and miss a day or fail and yet, keep going.
It is good to be loved or to love or to have the feeling of being loved. But the most beautiful thing is to be shown that you are loved and for the person who loves you to go to(or be ready to go to) extremes for their love for you. Because like you already know, talk is cheap. We choose to be the last people who still believe in the power of love and in its ability to conquer all. So we hope that more people won’t just stand up and say I love you or I miss you, but live up to the expectations of their words. That’s all that really matters in the end — matching the words with the actions.
Dear Diary, keep my thoughts as secret as news can be…
