Daily Diary
October 15th
Dear Diary,
As humans, we have to choose to be selfish — choosing ourselves over and over again until we can no longer choose ourselves. Why? Because human nature is like that and whilst you’re trying to choose some other person, they won’t hesitate to choose themselves and their selfish interests over you. While you are ready to fight for something with blood and bone, the other person isn’t ready to go an inch for it. So you fight and wrestle for someone who won’t do the same for you. Choose yourself always and even if it means hurting others, do it unapologetically. Life is a jungle.
When you are complaining about something that isn’t essential and someone is complaining about something that you have but that you no longer find essential but that is essential to the person, you get to understand that life is really unfair to all of us. Because as you sit and grumble about not getting something, you see some other person grumble about not getting what you have and don’t want to appreciate, or simply don’t acknowledge enough. And then you realize that to each, God gave a different cross and we might pay attention to solving present worries than looking for future problems, for every blessing is a curse.
CHRONICLE 15
Through the daily bustle
We juggle and fumble and stumble.
And life serves us huddles
But we dare not grumble
We dare not babble
Or cause a ramble
For we know that life is a jungle.
Dear Diary, keep my thoughts as secret as news can be…
