December 1st

Dear Diary,

It’s December and it still feels like November — nothing has changed. But we hope that December brings good tidings because it is the Christmas season — a season for family, love and reconciliation. It’s a season for reconquering what you’ve lost or thought you did — love,friendship, family, jobs, etc… so though there was nothing peculiar about this new month, I somewhat hope for things to be different and better.

Today, I didn’t do anything special or fancy. Oops, I did. I created a TikTok account yesterday and today, I started 31 days of Restoration Poetry and Appreciation Poetry. The former is to bring back hope, optimism and enthusiasm after the hard year that is coming to an end. The latter is to appreciate those who spent most of their year talking to me and being there for me. I can only appreciate them through poetry.
