Dear Diary,

Have you heard of TWITTER? It’s a social media platform like Facebook, Instagram et al. But there are 2 things I really like about the platform: you have a limited number of characters(per tweet) to express your thoughts and you can’t edit a tweet that has already been tweeted. You notice that it teaches us two important lessons with these features: you can always say a lot(express your mind) by saying less and it is okay to make mistakes — and that’s why there are no edit buttons.

Today, one of the kindest and prettiest girls I’ve ever met, defended her masters thesis and thought delighted I was, I also knew that it’d be the beginning of the end. Not in the sense that we won’t see again, but in the sense that she’ll have to change towns. Like they say, all good things come to an end. And though we might not be geographically close to each other, I hope the bonds we created during these years can stand the test — after all they always say that out of sight is not out of mind. Now would be the perfect time to test that theory.

Apart from the fact that she is amongst the nicest persons I know, she has also succeeded in keeping a 4 years long relationship with my friend. Together they form the idea of a perfect youth couple in this generation of excessive flirtation, debauchery, deceit and chagrin. I’ve watched their love story grow and then blossom and all I can wish for is that these seeds planted long ago should flourish into the most exquisite trees that’ll bring forth the most beautiful of fruits. Anyone who knows me, knows that I love love. And even though beforel now I’d not had the dream love story of my own, I still believed and somehow, the universe gave it to me. But this is not about me. The lessons of love I have learned from these kids are simply amazing.

Don’t be scared to love — the saddest thing will be a life without love.
