Daily Diary
October 23rd
Dear Diary,
While hanging out with Asafor, I discovered that having a to do list is the most efficient way of figuring out if or not you had a productive day. Because having a good day doesn’t always mean having a productive one. And though I always go on and on about how monotony is boring, I think an established plan will always beat every sort of improvisation. And so, whilst waiting for the uncertain things that might occur during the way, it is better to have something off which you you tick off every task done be it successfully or not.
During my lesson with my American friend, we debated about how power corrupts and that the governments of the world are scheming to keep us under their rule — and sometimes, we don’t even know what is real and what is fake. With the media they blind our eyes to the real issues at hand. Some people even say the war in Ukraine is a diversion from something else — something bigger and more disastrous. But in all of this, we have to know that humans have always loved to be ruled. From time immemorial, humanity would oust one bad dictator just to enthroned his son or nephew or brother who would turn out to be just like him or worse than him. So maybe we need these institutions that reap and maim and rape and kill us. Because without any sort of government, we’ll plunge into anarchy.
CHRONICLE 23
The rogue king has gone mad again -
So his subjects say it’s time tor him to go
And he is dethroned.
They turn to his brother
They don’t find a man in their midst
Wise enough to be their king.
The rogue king’s brother is madder
So he opens the box of pandora
He reigns with fury and anger
The land becomes bloodier.
Dear Diary, keep my thoughts as secret as news can be…
