Dear Diary,

Do you also believe that men are polygamous in nature and women are hypergamous? Because every other person does. That’s why women will leave their one true love for a man who has achieved more and that’s why men are never satisfied with just one woman — they claim. But if women are hypergamous, why therefore do they hate it when men are polygamous. Because if a man knows that a woman is with him only for his status and achievements, what’ll stop him from getting more than one? These are like two sides of the same coin. Double standards would be to support one ideology and bash the other.

Today was day 1 of procrastinating procrastination and I’d say that it wasn’t easy at all. I failed almost every planned task. You know what they say — old habits die hard. What must I do to be what I truly want to become? They say that it all starts from within but we also know that though the spirit is willing, the body is weak. The flesh yearns for instant pleasures, trading off future gratification. The only solution is to do a flashforward of one’s life and see how unhappy one will be in some years if one keeps on doing the same things. So if we need our lives and situations to change, we must be the catalysts of that change.
