Daily Diary 02

Dear Diary,

I don’t know how those who are always in a good mood, or give the semblance of always being in a good mood, do it. It’s really hard to always think positively or hope for the best outcomes of every situation.

But life doesn’t just wait for you to get back up. It doesn’t matter if someone dies or if you lost the love you thought you had found. It really doesn’t matter if aliens attack or if “all hell breaks loose” because nothing will make time stop for you. Figuring it out is a course we were never taught in school. And so, we have to learn the hard way.

And now that it all seems to be a never ending avalanche of contrasting, conflicting and sometimes contradictory emotions, what more is there to say? We take on each day with a sentiment of purpose hoping to find that one thing that might probably make us happiest of all, or at least, happier than how we already are. But is it that easy to find?

What’s that one thing that can make all other things fall in place like in a domino? Some say it is money. Others say it is love. Others say it is purpose. Whatever the case, I know what mine is and for those who have been reading me for a while, they know too. And somehow, God blessed me with poetry to make this thing work. I hope I make it work till I pull my last breath.

There’s a question that I’d really wanna ask her
And I’m hoping that I’d get a modest answer -
Do you love me or you’re just putting up a show?
There’s a spark but that’s not really all that matters
Will you hold my hand and walk in front of others?
Do you promise that you’ll never ever let me go?
