Rant 001 - Maybe you're not that deserving of that love you think you deserve.

Yesterday was January 1st and a lot of people set goals they won’t attain and resolutions they won’t keep. Finding the ideal(and not a good) partner was surely amongst these goals/resolutions. As crazy as it may seem, an ideal partner doesn’t necessarily equate to a good partner. Because your idea of an ideal partner isn’t necessarily the partner that might or should be good for you. It rarely is the case because most of us(me inclusive) live fantasy-filled lives.

But even in this wild chase for meaning, love and stability, people(I inclusive) still underlook the importance of being prepared for what might come, if it ever does come. So while they wait and pray, they don’t work on themselves. People want gain without pain. They don’t want to be a good partner but expect to have good partners. Simply put, they are undeserving of the love they would love to attract. The goal is not only in wanting love, but in being lovable. You need to be deserving of the love you think you deserve.

Recently I’ve come to the realization that vouloir n’est pas pouvoir. It’s not because you want something that you’ll eventually get it. You need to work towards it. And even when you work towards it, you’re still not sure of getting it. Such is life.

So my advice is for people to be more deserving of the love they think they deserve. Work on yourself and attract the best you desire.
