Sucker for and at LOVE

My Sister and I have always wondered why we've been so unlucky when it comes to love and relationships. Sometimes, we've even joked about love and relationships not being our calling. It has often felt like it'll be better if we went to the seminary and convent for me and her. But what if this love, dating and relationship things weren't for everyone? What if we were the persons to end up with nine cats and obese from eating a lot of junk food?

For my sister, she has never really let herself to be submerged by these things and so, have let the good guys walk past her. Well... If good guys do exist. As for me, I've let the serious ones who wanted me walk past as I followed the ones who also didn't care about me. Simply put, I'd call my sister a sucker at love and I'll call myself, a sucker for love. Seems I've after all, been chasing it all these years without getting a tangible feel to it.

Urban Dictionary defines Sucker for Love as Someone who is in a desperate search for love. In some cases it's so bad that the person is dating someone who is using them for sex or for material gain. They don't even notice and are in need of a wake-up-call.
Meanwhile, a sucker at love us someone who sucks at love, dating and relationships. They can't or don't know how to sustain or keep relationships. So, they suck at love.

Ask anybody anywhere and anytime and they'll choose being suckers at love rather than being suckers for love. Come to think of it, is it not better to be bad at something than to want something do badly? I know right? It's not acceptable in today's society to be vulnerable or show signs of vulnerability. Nobody is weak. That's why we have happy faces with wet pillows. Nobody wants to chase because nobody believes anything is worth fighting for.

Even though most people, including my sister, are suckers at love, I see their pain as they sulk for love. They wished they could have someone or something to fight for. Something to be a sucker for. But they are have a reputation to keep. They probably are suckers and sulkers but have to make it look like they suck at it.

In the end, being a sucker isn't a good thing. People tend to use you or you tend to use people. You get hurt or they hurt you. You want to choose between being a sucker for or at love. Some people are unfortunate to be both suckers for and at love. They build and break. They never enjoy.
